Plo Koon was a respected Jedi Master from the planet Dorin, known for his exceptional piloting skills and calm demeanor. He was a Kel Dor, a species requiring special breathing apparatus in oxygen-rich environments, which he typically wore on most planets.
A highly skilled warrior and Force-sensitive, Plo Koon served the Galactic Republic with distinction, particularly during the Clone Wars. He was a member of the Jedi High Council and played a crucial role in strategic planning and leading clone trooper legions in battle.
He had a strong connection to Ahsoka Tano, discovering her Force abilities as a child and bringing her to the Jedi Temple. He acted as a mentor to her throughout her early Jedi training. Plo Koon's first on-screen appearance was in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
During Order 66, Plo Koon was tragically killed while piloting his starfighter when his clone troopers turned against him.
